Representatives of the Association participated in the seminar “Energy efficiency and district heating, strategic policy direction to increase energy security of Ukraine”

 The event was organized by the Parliament of Ukraine (Verkhovna Rada Committee of FEC, nuclear policy and nuclear safety in cooperation with the Committee on Construction, Urban Development and Housing) and the Department of Energy of the USA.

The seminar was attended by MPs of Ukraine, public authorities of Ukraine, including representatives from the state regulator, which performs state regulation in the energy and utilities sectors, as well as representatives of international and public organizations and experts.

The next topics were discussed:

• role of energy efficiency in the strategic energy policy of Ukraine.
• appliance of the strategic concept of energy efficiency in the specific sectors at national-, regional and local levels.
• pricing, metering and district heating systems
• Investments in energy efficiency measures and next steps in energy efficiency in Ukraine.
