Representatives of the Association attended the first founding training
June 12-13 representatives of the Association on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving attended the first founding training as a part of the project ‘Energy efficiency and energy management in united local communities (ULC)’ implemented by GIZ under the program “U-Lead with Europe” for empowerment of rights and possibilities on the local level, accountability and development.
The event was attended by Ms. Alexandra Linden – Head of the component of the ‘U-Lead with Europe’ programme, Ms. Christiana Hageneder – Coordinator of the Energy efficiency sector at GIZ, Ms. Ima Khrenova-Shymkina – Deputy Director of the project ‘Energy efficiency reform in Ukraine’ implemented by GIZ, Mr. Klaus Haars – Energie Consult (Germany), as well as representatives of Local government development centers and Ukrainian energy hubs, regional experts and others.
During the two-day event speakers presented results of the desk-top research on the practical needs of Hromadas for capacity building. The programme of the training ofor future specialists has been developed and presented. Finally, major project aspects have been agreed.
The Association undertook an honorable mission to train the strong team of trainers on energy efficiency and energy management for all regions of Ukraine for the effective implementation of decentralization measures. Information about the list of measures, conditions of participation and schedule of training conduction will be presented in the future.
